As I have stated, I wasn’t always this super fit clean eating machine and I’m still always looking for ways to make healthier choices. For me, it’s all about a paradigm shift.
Sugar Fundamentals 101:
I’m not talking about artificially refined chocolate covered candy bars (never ever to be consumed) but sugar in general.
Apples are sugar. Bananas are sugar. Peaches are sugar , cherries are sugar … Get it ? Good
Yes, those sugars are great snacks at certain times(say after a workout and your not in competition prep) regardless, we need to understand that they are sugar. That a “smoothie” while still a “better” choice than a pizza is still packed with sugar.
So, I changed my paradigm.
My apple is your pepper :
One summer, I started buying them in quantity and eating them just like an apple. Sure enough by the end of that summer, I had completely changed my paradigm. I haven’t consumed an unintentional apple since.
So, I ask …. (For purely selfish reasons of course) What’s your Healthy paradigm switch ?
Share with me your stories on how you made healthy switches in the right direction🍎
